Hi Friend! I’m Shawn.
I’ve been married to Joe for over 29 years, and together we’ve built a joy‑filled life in Belmont, Michigan with our five kids, our dog, and now a couple of grandkids, too. As a military wife, I lived in plenty of small houses, and discovered that moving into a new place was one of my favorite things. I loved the challenge of learning how to make every inch work for my growing family.
In 2017 I found myself navigating a season of intense chaos. My husband was battling a brain tumor for the second time, and I was experiencing a surprise pregnancy which gave us children from newborn to College-age simultaneously. Quite the whirlwind - ha! That season made something painfully obvious:

How does it work?
I'm so glad you asked. First, you'll click here, to schedule a free call with me. If you'd like, I will text to arrange the best time. Otherwise, I'll call you in the next day or so and you can tell me about your situation and ask me whatever questions you have. If you choose to proceed, we'll discuss which package fits your needs and schedule our first session. During the session, we’ll work together to declutter and organize, research any desired products, and I’ll drop off a car‑load of donations when I leave. Then you'll relax with your favorite beverage in your peaceful space and thank yourself for hiring me. Well done, you!
What do you actually do during a session?
We work side‑by‑side at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I help you sort and organize, make decisions without pressure, and identify any products that might make life easier. I handle one donation drop‑off after each session, so you’re left with less clutter and less stress.
Do I have to get rid of everything?
Absolutely not! We only clear out what is holding you back so we can make space to enjoy and protect what is important to you. We declutter at a pace that feels comfortable, and you always decide what stays. Will I ask questions and challenge you? You betcha, but ultimately, I'm here to guide, support, and make the process easier, not to pressure you into letting things go.
How many sessions will I need?
I sure wish I could tell you. It depends on the project and how quickly you make decisions. A very small project can take just one session, but most people want more. It's not unusual to have a standing appointment each week when you really want a change. During our intro call, I’ll help you choose the package that makes the most sense for your goals. We can always add hours if needed, and the price per hour gets cheaper when we do, so don't let it stress you out.
What if I’m embarrassed by my space?
Girl, stop. We all know what life is like. It's beautiful and precious and comes with seasons that feel busy, stressful, and overwhelming. If I judged you, I'd have to judge myself, and contrary to popular belief, my house gets crazy sometimes too. The difference is, I have systems in place that allow me to wrangle it back in line quickly. And soon you will too! Don't worry, I gotcha!
Do I need to buy anything before you come?
Nope. We’ll do our best to use what you already have, and if we discover that a product would make things easier, I can take measurements and research options for you during your paid time.
Can you help me make decisions?
Definitely! I'm happy to support you. I’ll ask gentle, simple questions that make it easier to sort through what you use, need, and love. You’re always in control. I am here to support and guide you so the process feels lighter and less overwhelming.
Will you work with me, or can you do it without me?
Totally your choice. Although, results come fastest when you are available for at least part of it. Decluttering definitely works best when you’re there, since only you know what you want to keep. Having you involved also helps me understand how you live and what systems will best support you. Once the big decisions are done, I can do the finishing touches and handle ongoing maintenance on my own.
What if my spouse/parent isn’t on board?
Color me shocked. Don't worry, I get it. We will focus on your belongings, and the areas everyone feels comfortable with us working on. Maybe if we cross our fingers and throw some coins into a wishing well, they'll notice me respecting your choices, and the positive changes we make, and they'll warm up to the idea. Either way, my goal is to create a more peaceful home, not tension! We'll do what we can while respecting everyone’s comfort level.
Do you offer maintenance or refresh visits?
Yes. I offer Pleasantly Ever After Support for clients who want regular upkeep after their main organizing sessions are complete. The beauty of this is we can keep working together OR I can handle everything independently since I know where everything belongs now. This leaves you free to handle the 100 other things on your schedule. It’s ideal for busy households, seniors, and anyone who wants to keep their home running smoothly. BONUS - It allows us to fine-tune your systems as needs change, and you get extra help as each new season or holiday approaches.
Can I do more than one session in a day?
Absolutely! I love doing that! But... most people find that decision‑making gets harder as the hours go on. Decluttering especially can lead to decision fatigue, and I want you to feel confident and comfortable with every choice. If you prefer a longer day, I’m happy to accommodate it, we’ll get more done and see your desired result that much faster. Some people choose to try a shorter session first, and see how they feel. I'm happy to go at whatever pace you choose.
